Importance of Using the Correct Oil

It is important to use the correct oil and regular service on your petrol or diesel car. Diesel engine vehicles use a diesel particulate filter built into the exhaust system to reduce the emissions.

If the wrong oil is used this filter can fail and prove very expensive to replace.

In many cases the engine management system will sense an emission failure and will trigger the fail safe (Limp Home Mode).

Regenerations by combustions are affected.

Far more particulate matter quickly accumulates in the silicone carbide medium causing it to block.
